2000 or 3000 for homeowner's insurance seems excessive. If I remember right you have a farm. Your home should be covered under your farm policy. Your mom's should be covered under a rental policy. Such a policy will cover the building not the contents which are the responsibility of the renter. AND with the agent being snotty you should be shopping.
