I've mentioned before on this forum that our daughter, Amy, moved from Falls Church, VA to La Vista, NE last summer. (La Vista is a suburb southwest of Omaha). She was a paralegal with a real estate title company in McLean, VA and took a position as Title Officer with a similar company in southwest Omaha. She's in a far, far better situation as a result of the move.
The move was precipitated by a female partner in the company in McLean creating a hostile work environment by slamming doors, yelling, cussing, etc. Amy has kept in touch with several of her former co-workers in McLean, and several other employees have departed since she did.
Amy called this evening and said she had just learned that the receptionist in McLean had given notice that she was leaving. The company hired another receptionist as a replacement. She lasted 30 minutes and walked out.
