This was a post that I certainly took a Loooong pause before I hit "Submit"...having seen how things can degrade into PETA sessions. Very happy that the most meaningful thing to me-using my Grandfather's rifle, was picked up and ran with! However, now that I put my glasses on and looked closer- it was his Springfield 120A. Single shot, bolt action (where you have to pull back to cock the knurled end of the bolt). FYI- though I have ventilated the walls in the past, on occasion, I just re-sided the barn with 1 inch rough cut Poplar and feel pretty confident that it will handle the .22. Really enjoyed the conversations!
