Your shooting in a loft what are you using for ammo that won't go through walls or roof? When I shoot inside barn use a CB short. I watched my dad take a lot of groundhogs with a Wards .22 cal. rifle using soft tip lead bullets which he would cut an x on the tip of bullet. Back then you didn't see hollow points and when they did come out with hollow points but dad still used the soft lead with an x cut in it .
