If it has a 5 nipple distributor cap it will be a late 1950 to 1952. Some time around April or May of 1950 they went from the front mount distributor to the side mount. If it has the front mount distributor with the 4 nipple cap it will be a 1948 to early 1950. I have both types of the 8N on my place. My 1950 with side mount has a loader and back hoe on it
