I've been doing some thinking(scary I know), I have an invasive species, Japanese Knotweed, and I have read about which herbicides to use to kill the roots. I need to use 2-4-D with a surfactant and apply it once I cut it once with the brush hog and allow it regrow a little. My question is would I need a license to do this? I want to start and treat a few acres, maybe 5. Then work my way into the woods and remove as much of this awful stuff as I can. I don't think I would need one to buy it as I would be buying the stuff at TSC but I don't want to go there and look like a fool either. I also would like any input from others who have tried and successfully killed the stuff. Thanks
