I am now living in South West Wales. We used to live on Shropshire & Staffordshire border about 1 hour SW of Uttoxeter. I know the town well.
Uttoxeter is market town in North Staffordshire County. Until the 1980's it was the manufacturing base for the World famous Bamfords farm machinery manufacturer.
To-day its the base of JCB excavators - Joe Bamford was a relation of Bamfords who started manufacturing excavators under his own name in the 1950's.

Today's Featured Article - Gatherin of the Orange - by Rick Nikolich. In July of 1998 I was talking to fellow Allis Chalmers collector Mike Schilling about the annual "Gathering of The Orange" AC show coming up in August of 1999. He got this wild idea that we should get a convoy of AC tractors and drive them from Charlotte, Michigan 105 miles to LaGrange, Indiana.
