My 1855 had them before I got it and according to the individual I bought from the weight and rust so weakened the supports he switched to regular fenders. According to the books I have they held 30 gallon each and the fuel was pulled to the main tank by the vacuum created in the main tank by fuel usage. That proved to be troublesome as ANY leak in the main tank or the connecting hoses stopped fuel flow. The year-around cabs on the 2255 have them also which means if a cab was put one of the other tractors it had them. I have learned the cab will fit 1755 and up. I am slowly repairing a cab for my 1855 and am planning on installing a fuel pump to transfer the fuel.
