Randy: I know. My MIL had one done. 1st she was scared of becoming addicted to the pain meds and didn't take them. 2nd every time she looked like she was in pain my FIL wouldn't let her do the home PT she was supposed to. She finally did heal up and do OK but it was a long a slow process. On the 2nd one my wife went to the surgeon with her and had the doc explain about the pain meds and what the dangers are. Then after it was done my wife drove her mom into PT every day so my FIL couldn't interfere. About 2 1/2 months later she was back up doing all the things she had to stop doing after her knees went bad.
