I have a couple of questions on this tractor, first a little history. Tractor was bought new by a neighbor of ours and used on his farm until 7 or 8 years ago, he and his wife died the same year, place got sold and the tractor was kept in another neighbors shed by one of the boys that wanted to keep it. This Son moved to Wisc. on some acreage and will pick it up this spring. My job, get it running and ready and dependable. Hauled over last fall for a winter project, flat tires, leaking fluid of course, shot rims, half of tank of green stuff in fuel tank, mice and stink all over, battery still in it hanging by cables. box rotted off, etc. So, new rims and tubes, no more fluid, brakes gone through, loader brackets off, tank cleaned and carb rebuilt(that was fun) new battery box, rewired, engine was loose and drained the water out of the rear end etc, today we poured fresh gas in and she fired right up and ran like a watch. Drove it around the yard and warmed it up to drain the oil, three point even works, I should change the rear end and tranny and hydraulics, their is a dipstick on the left side under the seat, but their are three fill plugs, one by the shifter, one under the seat and one in the rear. Is this a common compartment or separate and if so how does a person determine the full level, and am I correct that is takes universal hydraulic fluid in all compartments?? Looks like that is what is on the dipstick. Thanks in advance for info.
