I know this will very a lot by area, but I've got some not very good pasture(a lot of steep hillside and wooded) that Id like to rent. Probably 25 acres give or take five. It'll handle maybe 7 or 8 cows, or probably 5 cow calf pairs. Fence with new five strands of barb wire, farm pond, and small calf lot. By no means do I think this is a lot, but what is a reasonable rate?? Everybody around me that has cattle is looking for more pasture space. I've sent the county extension a message but he hasn't responded yet. Another local cattleman told me around $10 a head per month. Any thoughts??
