Oliver's of that era whine a little. When I was a kid I would listen to my neighbor's whining 70. The engine was so quiet compared to our two bangers but I could hear the whine. You will most likely find the 77 handier than your Deeres. I grew up on Two bangers, am very comfortable with them and still have three of the two bangers I grew up on.
