The issue is that unless it is hulled or properly scarified, emergence is far from satisfactory regardless of the seeding method. We have had a terrible time with getting an adequate stand with any less than 4 times seeding rate due to the fact that so many seeds never emerge. We started with buying seed from "the guy down the road" which has not worked out very well because it has not been properly scarified. We only had a couple acres this fall suitable for harvesting. We will need all of the harvested seed to plant for ourselves. Perhaps next fall there will be additional seed supply for sale but not at this time.
