I have doing some repairs on my chipper. I had the batter hot wire removed to change a connector. When I replaced the wire it fell on the exhaust pipe. The motor stopped. I thought the battery terminal came loose. I pushed the terminal down with my hand. It was so hot it burned my hand. As I am typing I am holding a piece of ice on my hand. I hate burns, they last for a long time. Do you think I damaged my battery by a direct short? It seams to work, but what about long term. Stan
