I had a '94 F150 300/6 auto that I put 280K on it before my son totaled it. The motor was still strong. I had the transmission rebuilt at 242K. I consistently got over 20mpg on the highway and quite often got 23mpg. The only thing I ever did was keep the oil changed with the cheapest I could find and tuned it up every 75K. It wasn't the best at pulling a trailer but I could put 2000# on it and it handled it good. It was a far cry better than the Chevys and Dodge that I have now.
