I have had both and I would take the Oliver if they are in similar shape. My MM friends will hate me but MMs are kind of known for leaks. I wouldn't consider the MM motors to be as reliable and they are a 4cyl instead of the Oliver 6. These older Olivers are close to bullet proof unless your run them out of oil. I have seen some that are beat to death and still work great. I never buy Farmalls because of the torque and shift issues and John Deeres are nice as a whole but not really any better than an Oliver for a lot more money. By now I have made everyone mad but I am just giving my opinions after 35 years and owning probably hundreds of tractors of every color.
