When you have problems with heights even from a 6' steplader driving thru those places is terifying. I have trouble if there is a drop off beside the road, even at times just a ditch. But on a road with a drop off to the side of 15' I get so nervous I can hardly stand it. So now do you see why some hate that lay of the land. A few years ago I was supposed to go down to eastern KY. The roads just got to me so bad I never made it to where I was supposed to go and just a mile from there. It got to me so bad that I had to pull into the first parking lot I saw and just started baulling so hard I could not shut the engine off for a half hour. When I was finally able to get settled down I just turned around and headed for home. When hills get to you that bad there is no way you can like them. If you do not have the height problems then yes you could like things. Me just driving the combine over an overhead across a road was all I could stand.
