Victoria is about an hour south of me. As soon as I saw the gardens I knew it was Butchard Gardens ( built in an old rock quarry), we have seasons passes. Not everything is like that quaint old English setting...we have a fine selection of Walmart's, Costco's, Target, Home Depot...you get the idea.
While we do get lots of rain on the west side of the island, the east side is in the rain shadow through most of the summer and fall. November to February though you will get wet here.
We are getting one of the rare freezes right now, just cold enough to break a few pipes and pumps that we didn't drain...it will warm up in a few days.
I'm still catching up putting everything away as I just finished shipping the last of my cranberries on Wednesday. A bit late but we got them all out. I usually post picture of the harvest but I won't hijack Toms post with them...maybe tomorrow.
