NOBODY got promoted in SF training, no matter the rank, in the mid 60s....we were E-3 to E-8, all equals in training. Rank came fast once on the A-Team. So he "invited" all Group members to help him celebrate at the EM club.

Much later, walked across the parade ground, back to the barracks, missed the handrail on the steps between 2nd and 3rd floor, sailed thru the window screen, caught myself on the awning/parapet? that was below the screen....whatever...
Next morning was payday formation...0700...buddies are asking...JMS/MN, why is that screen broken out?
