Pete, that was a copy and paste. Pretty plain language to me.
I think rent/lease land for other uses have different rules. The one for hunting is aimed at getting land owners to allow others to hunt their land. Basically if a guy falls out of a tree and lands on a barbed wire pasture fence on land they rented/leased hunting rights the landowner could be held liable. If he was hunting for free with or without permission the landowner is shielded from liability from the way that's written. Who knows what would happen in a court room.
