One thing I meant to mention was the seat on your tractor is a Monroe after market seat made after the end of WWII. These seats were a popular replacement sold by many dealers of virtually all makes and models of tractors are were quite an improvement over the regular seats that came on new tractors. In 1947-48 era John Deere fitted their newer model row crop tractors with a battery box mounted cushioned seat and backrest up grade while International factory fitted their Farmall models with these Monroe type seats. Many other makes came with Monroe seats too in this era.
