I cover cropped all my spots in winter wheat. My plan is next spring to combine the wheat to save the seed,then square bale the straw to put down as mulch. Would it be better to use my disc plow to leave some of the stubble mixed with the dirt on top of the soil to cut back on weeds or use my moldboard plow and completely turn it under? If you are wondering yes my gardens are very large areas and the combine is a small pull type.
