THANKS for all the pics. I haven't been down in that part of the Country since 1959. I especially liked the pics of the Cotton. We used to grow a lot of Cotton here in the Pahrump Valley, in fact we had the only Cotton Gin in the entire state of Nevada. The LAST crop of Cotton was in 1986, and it was only 10 acres. They let the bushes grow 3-4 feet high and harvested the Cotton by hand. My wife & I were driving by when they were harvesting and I stopped and picked a branch for her that had 5 Cotton balls on it.
No more Cotton in Pahrump. The Cotton Gin is gone now and has been replaced with a large Hotel / Casino . :>(
