I am pretty sure my TO20 with Z120 has a lip seal that is 360 degrees around the crank shaft so yes tracter has to be split to replace seal. There is rope or string packed between rear main cap and block to seal that portion. Check the rear main carefully when apart. Do the stuff Steve said first.
