Two books I would recommend are text books and well written for a student of farming practices. "Farm Machinery and Equipment" Harris Smith "Farm Gas Engines and Tractors" Fred Jones You can find copies pretty readily at any of the online booksellers or Ebay and they are inexpensive. Read those and then you will have more questions.
