We had a few Case DCs we used a lot. The DC4 seemed to have the most horsepower. I think the difference was in the head. Maybe post over on the Case Board. They used babbit rod bearings. I do not know how much pounding they can take. Do not know if they could be machined for inserts or not. I do know you could keep them running for a long time on very few repairs.
