dc case engine overhaul

I am about to start a major overhaul on my 1952 dc case. I have heard a little about using pistons and sleeves from other engines to increase displacement considerably. Which piston and sleeve combination works, is the stock rods used and what machining has to be done to the block. When finished I want to be able to work the tractor in the field without too much of a heating problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Robert

Never tried to increase hp. In my opinion (we
know what that's worth), if you want to work a
tractor hard (which it was designed to do), leave
it stock. If you need more hp, get a bigger
tractor.

We had a few Case DCs we used a lot. The DC4 seemed to have the most horsepower. I think the difference was in the head. Maybe post over on the Case Board.
They used babbit rod bearings. I do not know how much pounding they can take. Do not know if they could be machined for inserts or not.
I do know you could keep them running for a long time on very few repairs.
