I want to make a tow bar (push pull) for moving my rapidly growing number of dead tractors around, a chain works fine but SWMBO gets grouchy on days that end in Y. How long should I make it and what do you suggest on the thickness of materials. I don't have any scrap material to start with so I'll be getting new. Not going to be moving heavy equipment with it, IH 706 is the biggest tractor I have.
