Those are the same feelings I had last week. 'Cept mine was when I went to grain the cows and the stock tank was running full tilt. I had turned it on exactly 24 hours earlier when I grained them. We've got really good water volume at the hydrants - I ran 3/4 inch line. That equates to an extra $184 on your water bill. Oh wait, I left the hog water on for 7 hours a couple days before that. I guess those TWO things add up to the extra. Luckily I never do something like that when I am filling my field sprayer.
I now have a clothes pin clipped to every hydrant. When I turn it on I put the clothes pin on my shirt sleeve. I can't wait to turn off the water and get that thing off my arm.
