I have 2 mowers that I use behind the same tractor. One is 72" exactly the width of the tractor tires (as set). It is very easy to mow in tight spots because the tires give me a gauge of the distance from a tree or fence.
I also have a 90" mower that I use on the same tractor. In open fields and pastures it mows more ground faster but is much harder to gauge how close it is to obstacles. So I think it depends on your circumstances,to decide which one is best.
