They closed our small town rural P.O. 30 years ago, and our mail now comes from another office. They told us at the time that the carrier could do anything for you that you could do at the P.O. We do a lot through the carrier, mail packages and etc. but not all. Might be something that would work for you. On to the subject of waste. My wife retired as Postmaster from a small office. Not a big wage office, but the point I wanted to make is the amount of money wasted. Unless you have been employed there you cannot possibly imagine the amount of money spent on non essential things. It is just unbelievable.
