I would make note of the smoke and revisit it later as you get more things worked out with the program. Your tractor has more in common with a modern automobile than what it started out life as. Should be able to program it out rather easily. Too much fuel injected when going into enrichment mode or going into enrichment too soon (at too high of manifold vacuum) I think you are running speed density and not a MAF if I remember right.
