DO IT! I can tell you that having any certifications can pay off big time. If you really want to get your class a step ahead and are in an area where the oil and gas industry is booming, get them PEC certified. They can fast track your students into the oilfield and save the company that hires them time and money. I was selected over a couple other candidates because I had my OSHA 10 and PEC certificates and could start in the oil field immediately. Of course the PEC applies only if you are areas like mine(SW PA) where lots of young guys are heading into the oil field to make their living.
