Mabey she decided that the easiest way to have you cease doing her job for her was to have you stop taking stuff home, hence you're not around anymore. Around here the scrap yards dont' really want 'white' goods. They'll take the stuff if you dump it off and that's about the extent of it. What scrap is worth is highly dependant on where you are and what distance it is to market... and who actually has the monopoly on the local scrap market. Around here there's really only one game in town, they pay what they pay which isn't much... and if you want rid of the stuff you take what they pay. Sounds like you're in a similar market.
