Right now the cost of making your own electricity is way more expensive than going with wind or solar.
However, the cost of natural gas and electricity will increase because coal will be phased out, then solar and wind may be more attractive.
My only heart burn is the life expendency of golf cart batteries.
I worked at a place that had 40 6 volt golf cart batteries(trogans) for 90 minutes of back up electricity to run emergency lighting. Batteires lasted about 10 years. It cost a pant load to replace them. The next set lasted another 10 years. Instead of replacing the batteries the second time, they put flashlights in every room. George
