When he tells me "the mill sets the prices" you would set his truthfulness against mine?
Your truly delusional. A Christian always tells it like it is, regardless of the outcome.FYI every year we done business we asked to be put on the list for next years wood. That too was agreed to. We called him, asked him to return the call, never happened, the next morning We called him again, this time he stated he had 35 customers on his list and we weren't on it. He stated to us he only had two cords in the woods, and didn't expect any until mid Sept, late Oct. and the mill set his price of $95.00 per cord (10 cord min). We always told him to call us if there was a price increase so we would know how much to set back for him. We never got a call,so it was a safe bet the price hasn't went up. Preceding years he has called with price increases if there was one and a date when it would be delivered if we wanted it.This year was different because he didn't want to hold on the price we agreed on. We called two different loggers today, and their price was $85 per logger cord, delivered. Like the old logger they too are close by in mileage and we call the new logger in Mid July for schedule delivery.

Now you can see why I claim you are delusional, nobody has asked you to side with me or the logger, only to explain to others why I consider it gouging.

" Real honest and Christian of you..." as you stated, to me in my years on this green earth, I have found out people who state this are far from Christian themselves, and when I shake hands with one,I had better count my fingers when done.Thats why I would never shake hands with the likes of you.

"If the mill was paying $15 LESS a cord, would you demand that he lower his price to you?"

I never quibbled over a legitimate increase IE cost of fuel, oil etc all the years we done business with this fellow, but a BS statement that the mill sets HIS price plus the fact he ignored our call the first time is dishonest and far from Christian as you state.

The prices from the other loggers of todays telephone conversation makes me believe he is more like you than me. Dishonest and happy to gouge at any whim.
