Lou, I dont understand why you are ranting about the price. Around here the mills are sawing down to furring strip lumber. Then the waste, bark, slabs get ground and turned into wood pellets. Furniture factories are also turning their hardwood wastes int high quality hardwood pellets. Why as a low end user, do you think you should still pay yesterdays prices for your log length wood, when your supplier can sell it for todays prices and maintain his narrow profit margin, with rising expenses to deliver it to you?
