For this years" hay season we got a NH 260 rake, a right hand rake, to go with our 258.
Prior to that we had our 258 pair with a 256 and before that an IH 35...we have fairly wide-open fields that we mow in strips. My issue with the parallel double rake setup was that the first windrow we raked each day had to be done with the single rake in order to keep the raked hay out of the uncut hay. So we looked for a RH rake to make a "V" style double hitch to eliminate this.
Here it is in action, we are in upstate NY, yesterday was beautiful baling weather...hoping for some more great weather soon...that is my dad on the MAssey 265, the hitch is looking pretty cobbled together...(which it is)...but we had to adjust with and the offset front to back a few different times which led to cuts, welding in extensions and supports for those extensions...certainly not going to win a beauty contest...but neither am I
