Yeah, time was, when demand dropped for an item, they price went down. Nowadays, with inventory taxes, etc. the price increases. My 1986 F-150 has an ignition module that I used to sell original Motorcraft every day for about $50.00. They redesigned the ignition and now there is less demand for the units and I just priced one at O'Reilly's for $169.99! Full retail at a dealership would likely be more than that!
