Well, Gene, this is a first litter for her as well as for me. From what I remember from when Dad was raising them back in the 80s, first litters were usually around a half dozen. Second litter and all others were 12 to 14.
I agree, if she's only going to wean 4 out of each litter, it's time for her to go to auction. But I'll see how she does on the next litter before cutting her loose.
