Absolutely, best policy for sure. I'm not sure what happened in Lou's situation and as these things go, everyone is different, but it does pay.

I've always taken care of mine and there was a period of time that I did not go to the dentist, many years, but I did take good care of my dental hygiene. So good, I wore some of the enamel off at the base of the teeth, makes em real sensitive, have to use a soft brush, right technique and or they have all these new rechargeable brushes today, that clean better and are easier on the enamel. I used a soft brush too, but another factor is whitening toothpaste, I never knew it had pumice in it ! Also floss once a day, at least and brush the gums, all contributes to a healthy mouth, I used the ones on the Y already strung, and use them til they break, easy, takes no time and its a healthy thing to do. In that time frame I had a root canal on one tooth that a piece cracked off, an old filling, and it never got resolve, changed jobs/benefits, never had time etc, and it finally went sour on me, a back tooth, had to have it out, got infected eventually, but I healed up, not too bad to deal with, hopefully with this new job on the horizon I can get something to fill that gap. Since that one extraction, I've kept bi annual cleanings, had some fillings fixed, worn spots that were sensitive filled, but the teeth and gums are very healthy. Dentist is a friend of the family, he said after the extraction, thats way out of character for you, the rest are in excellent shape, 2 still very sensitive, if there were more like that, might have a different outlook. Hygienist said you're well on your way to keeping your teeth. I don't drink soda very often or sugary drinks, or foods that seem to cause problems. I would definitely recommend good at home dental hygene and the bi-annual cleanings, which even out of pocket is not that bad, I had to pay $150 for the cleaning 2 weeks ago, with x rays.

Today's Featured Article - Field Modifications (Sins of the Farmer) - by Staff. Picture a new Chevrolet driving down the street without it's grill, right fender and trunk lid. Imagine a crude hole made in the hood to accommodate a new taller air cleaner, the fender wells cut away to make way for larger tires, and half of a sliding glass door used to replace the windshield. Top that off with an old set of '36 Ford headlight shells bolted to the hood. Pretty unlikely for a car... but for a tractor, this is pretty normal. It seems that more often than not they a ...
