As some of you may remember, most of my wheat has a claim on it due to a dry fall and spring, and bitter cold winter. I can swath and round bale it for feed, but my question is how good of feed is it? Right now it is just heading out, so I believe it is early enough, but is there a market for wheat hay? Obviously if it stays dry there probably will be. Another thought is will the wheat be stressed and have afla-toxin issues? I don't know if that even is an issue with wheat. My option is to spray (kill) it and no-till beans in it. Any thoughts out there? This is in Mid-Kansas. Thanks - Bob
