Saw the first planter running yesterday about a mile west, this morning he was to the east in probably an 80 acre field then moved into 50 acres west of my yard now he's in a 40 acre field 1/4 mile S.E.of me. Think he farms over a couple thousand acres. He's got all big JD stuff, think that's a 24 row planter. The big IH pulled in across the road awhile ago, he's got almost all IH equipment. There's another probably 100 acres of corn across the road and about 300 yards east that the guy just started combining, don't know who farms that or why he's running late. We've lived here since 1989, biggest tractor around here was a 4840 JD, a 4440 and a few similar sized IH's and a big old Case, now when they meet on the road somethings got to give.
