This week one of our most popular grocery stores has these prices advertised, Boneless sirloin steak-$4.99lb.,Chuck roast-$3.99lb., Ground round-$3.99lb., Stew beef-$4.49lb. Another store has New York Strip at $6.99lb. Most of this is a little beyond my budget, being on a fixed income, but we have learned to prepare just what is needed, and cook smaller portions. According to the AMA we eat too much red meat, and if that is true, I can easily exceed my limit because I love steak! If there is a upside to this mess, it is helping me to cut back on eating, which I have been needing to do for some time.
