OK, So I remembered a little book that I have entitled, "American Cars from the 1950s". I was partially correct. American Motors was formed by a merger of Nash and Hudson automobiles in an effort to keep both afloat. The vehicle in the photo seems to be a 1956 or possibly 1957 Rambler. It states that in 1956 it was sold under both logos, but in 1957 it became a make of its own. So yes, they are quite rare. They were good vehicles but the company was on a downhill slide and never recovered. As I said, this one seems to be quite complete. I haven't kept up with them so I can't say how readily available parts would be,and it would be advisable to inquire about such, but if it is for sale, I personally, would give it some serious consideration.
