so true ,,, Ernie lived on the farm below us ,,he mechaniced 20 yrs at a case dealer .... he was always showing my brothers and I trix to the trade for repairs and what not ,,,great welder and teacher too ,, with a wonderful sense of humor ... He was a 18 yr. old paratrooper into France and spent winter time 1944 in a tunnel under the Seine river as POW ,But , he never wanted to talk about it ,,I cried when he died of cancer some 30 yrs ago,,, he still was a young fellow and kid at heart , and one of Pops best pals , and although not related, Ernie was like a good uncle to us...
