Several years ago, when every other commercial on TV was GM advertising their OnStar features, it showed a genuine cop car behind a stolen GM vehicle that had OnStar in it. The audio showed the OnStar tech talking to the cops and the tech then said that he was going to shut down the vehicle. Sure enough, the video showed the stolen car slowing down and then pulling over to the side of the road. Big Brother has enough of a presence in my life that I don't need them operating my accelerator or brake pedal.
