Sounds like a crappy ground or connection. I work on commercial kitchen equipment and you cannot beleve the messed up connections you get with the grease! Cars and trucks get salt problems. Live near the ocean? Not going to the car wash? Farm tractors get it from fertilizer and buildings where it has been stored. Also the battery acid vapors. Anything to drive ya nuts!
