Is this trans made with the forks on the top cover? Did the detent keep the fork shaft tight in position? Is the fork tight on the shaft? When assembled, does the mainshft have end play more than .005? Is the second gear tight on the mainshaft? Are the engagement teeth on the gear and synchronizer worn compared to the gears it does not jump out of ? These are a few things to look at also. Mark
