I've got one.... friend's kid cuts his leg, doing what I forget. Local EMTs come and stop the bleeding, the kid needs to be transported, hospital if about 30 minutes away by road. Life not in jeopardy. Instead they call the helicopter to wisk him to the big city childrens' hospital... to the tune of $10,000. Paid, luckily, by the single mother's insurance. Today she would have to pay most of that out of pocket with the high deductibles. THAT'S another reason "health care" costs so much.

Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor. My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed.
